Rimigliano natural Park covers the most southern part of San Vincenzo territory, confining with Towns of Piombino and Campiglia Marittima.
Foundation year: 1973
Area: 120 hectares, Mediterranean undergrowth with ilex prevalence, with pre-dune sand-pit wide 15-20 metres.
Period suggested for visits: all the year.
How to reach it: from San Vincenzo on foot, bus, taxi or by car.
Services: Refreshment and assistance on the beach during summer period.
 

Vegetation: cuddled juniper, "fillirea", myrtle, ilex, domestic pine, pioneer vegetation.
Fauna: fox, weasel, polecat, hedgehog, dormouse, blackbird, collar turtle-dove, jay, green woodpecker, wild pigeon, pheasant, woodcock.

 

 
  Climate conditions: The Park is sited on the sea, it is protected from fresh ground winds by a relief chain, Campiglia agreeable climate.
 
  The summer warm is moderated by sea breezes and during winter, only in exceptional cases, the barometer is under 5 centigrade, while in autumn and spring thermal excursions are higher than 10 centigrade.
 
 

Rainfall is quite scarce and does not reach 800 mm value at year. The most rainy months are: october, november, february and march.

The wind that frequently blows during the year is the Greek-Levant coastal, a wind which medium speed is higher than 10 Km/hour.
The Libeccio is the wind that rarely blows, but with an higher violence being often higher than 80 Km/hour exercising a great demolisher action on the coast. All the other winds have got scarce importance a part from the Scirocco one, usually announcing rain.

 
  The Park climate can be defined as mediterranean tempered-warm kind, with a mild winter.
